Hello! According to my OS map (and the evidence of my eyes!) a public footpath/right of way has been vandalised and blocked near Harpenden. At the place marked, a public footpath sign has been taken down and thrown into the undergrowth and there is no way to get through at the place marked on the OS map. The way through has been blocked for around a year - although I did not spot the vandalised sign until two months ago. Could you please look into this and, if I am correct, take action to restore the route and keep it open?

Thank you for your report. I have checked our files and our survey from 2022. There is nothing in our files for this path and the survey in 2022 showed that the waymark post was not in the ground but was upright against the hedge (this is not uncommon on rights of way due to structures failing over time). I have put this on our replacement order. The walked route for this path appears to be around the wooded area at Hyde Mill Bungalow and then x-field to the Herts section of the path. Do you have any photos of the obstruction and vandalism? many thanks.
