Road surface broken around drain cover

Reported via desktop in the Road Potholes category anonymously at 14:26, Friday 4 July 2025

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 424922.

I hit this broken road surface (it's in the left-hand land travelling towards Sharpenhoe from Barton-le-Clay) earlier today (4.7.25) with both front and rear nearside tyres, I genuinely thought I had destroyed both wheels. Thankfully no damage done but this pothole is in a dangerous location – there are usually parked vehicles on the opposite side of the road, which means it's very difficult to avoid it. The fact it is a straight line means it feels as though I drove over a brick.
