South End, Milton Bryan, between Mags Lane turning and Red Lion pub

Reported via mobile in the Road Surface category anonymously at 16:54, Friday 4 July 2025

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 424933.

Several potholes have opened up - present for years but definitely getting worse over the past 12 months. Largest measures 180cm x 190cm and minimum 10cm depth. Smaller ones measure minimum 7cm depth. This stretch of road surface is failing and very uneven. Heavy farm traffic frequently uses this road potentially making wear issues worse.

  • Thank you for your Highways report.
An order has now been raised to rectify the identified issue and this will now be added to our programme of works. We are, unfortunately, unable to provide you with a timescale for this work to be completed, however, all repairs are prioritised using an assessment matrix in line with our Network Maintenance Management Plan (NMMP)

We will continue to monitor all defects to ensure the safety of our residents as part of the NMMP which can be found online - http://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ transport/ roads-strategies/ highways-asset-management.aspx

    Many thanks,
