Outside 12 to 16 Broadway, Houghton Conquest
Reported via mobile in the Pavement and Cycle path category anonymously at 21:19, Monday 14 July 2025
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 425291.
There are two main paths outside the bungalows on Broadway Houghton Conquest and some smaller paths. My mother lives at number 14. She reports that the grass is cut under the trees in the public area outside this row of bungalows but the clumps of weeds growing on the paths are not. This is creating a trip hazard for her as she is unsteady on her feet, living in social housing with medical conditions. She is unable to access certain areas outside her home due to needing to step over the large clumps of weeds growing through the pathway, which is not safe for her to do. Please can you arrange for whoever is responsible to remove the clumps of weeds, leaving a clear walkway, as quickly as possible.Thank you

Update on your report:
After inspecting the reported issue, our officers have determined that this doesn't currently qualify as a priority for repair. We will continue to monitor the defect during future inspections and carry out works should it meet our intervention levels in future.
With over 1,400km of road to maintain across Central Bedfordshire, we have to prioritise the work we do as detailed in our Network Maintenance Management Plan (NMMP), which can be viewed on the following page of our website https://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ info/ 55/ transport_roads_and_parking/ 592/ roads_strategies
