Stables on West Drive, directly opposite care home (number 1 West Drive I believe)

Reported via mobile in the Fly Tipping category anonymously at 01:33, Wed 16 July 2025

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: Jadu-EFF018344.

The owner of the horses at these stables has taken it upon themselves to erect unsightly and quite aggressive signage on land they do not own, more worryingly they have placed several sections of tree trunk with dangerous pieces of barbed wire sticking out of them, right next to the roadside/public right of way, this is going to cause injury to a dog or other animal or potentially a child. When I moved to Arlesey many years ago this was a hedgerow and roadside verge with no entrance to the field/stables here at all, over the years they have (illegally?) cut out the hedgerow and added a gated access, then laid tarmac from the roadside to the gate, all of this is on public right of way. Don’t have any issue with the gate being there or the tarmac “driveway” but the aggressive signage and extremely dangerous chunks of tree trunk covered with barbed wire need to be removed.
