Junction of Highlands and High Street surface cover loose
Reported via mobile in the Surface cover category anonymously at 21:08, Mon 21 July 2025
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 425568.
The surface cover has been loose for over 2 months and the sound has progressively got louder. On still nights the sound is horrendous when lorries and cars go over the surface cover . Motorway traffic has been diverted through Flitwick on numerous occasions which has contributed to the surface cover deteriorating.

Resident not happy about the Insite note dated 22 / 07
Says that he requires a more specific time scale and not what the note says that timescales are long term
That the damaged surface cover has been an ongoing and long term problem
That could the Highways officer please update the CRN with a more specific time scale

The surface cover has now sunk and the tarmac surrounding the cover has broken away. The sound from the surface cover is now deafening and is having a detrimental impact upon the quality of life for residents and businesses near the damaged surface cover.
