Footbridge over the stream near Shillington Church
Reported via desktop in the Public Rights of way category anonymously at 11:38, Tue 22 July 2025
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7915520.
The barrier to the East Side of the footbridge is very wobbly and loose and if someone leans on it may collapse into the stream causing an accident.

This Bridge is a health and safety hazard. I can't believe it has not been inspected since I reported it almost 4 months ago. When is it going to be visited please?

It was inspected a couple of weeks ago by myself and a colleague. At the same time, we also cleared a fallen tree by hand that was completely obstructing the bridleway. We will be ordering the work for the repair to be done as soon as we have a quote back from the contractor.
