Marley Fields. Leighton Buzzard LU7 4WH

Reported via mobile in the Road Potholes category anonymously at 12:04, Thu 24 July 2025

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 425656.

I have been in Marley Fields for over 10 years. Everyone has been complaining since I remembered. Our road conditions - potholes has never been properly fixed. We pay taxes, council tax etc. As on attached pictures which is just part of the road!!! It is absolutely not good. I don't know what to do?! Should I contact local news company to discuss why our Council doesn't want to fix the problem for over 10 years.

  • These defects are not at intervention level. We acknowledge that therev are surface defects but they need to be at least 50mm depth before intervention in accordance with CBC highways policy. Wev will continue to monitor and will make repairs when they intervention level.

    Update on your report:

After inspecting the reported issue, our officers have determined that this doesn't currently qualify as a priority for repair. We will continue to monitor the defect during future inspections and carry out works should it meet our intervention levels in future.

With over 1,400km of road to maintain across Central Bedfordshire, we have to prioritise the work we do as detailed in our Network Maintenance Management Plan (NMMP), which can be viewed on the following page of our website https://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ info/ 55/ transport_roads_and_parking/ 592/ roads_strategies
