Reported via desktop in the Signals Timing Issue category anonymously at 15:27, Thu 24 July 2025

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 425666.

Please refer to incidents 409457 and 425144. Regardless of what your mainenance contractor is telling you, these lights are not operating as would be expected. This is the fourth time I have tried to get something done about these. I'm sure I've said this before, but here goes: I would expect that if I approach these lights when there is no other traffic around, that they all would be on red, and when they detect my car (and I know the detectors are working), that the lights would go to green in my direction immediately. This is not what happens. Invariably, we have to wait for around 20 seconds for the light to go to green. If this is "operating correctly" then nearly all the other lights in the country must be operating incorrectly ! Please have someone fix this, the queues of traffic are becoming longer and longer due to the Black Cat saga and our village being used as a "rat run" to avoid the Black Cat. Regards, Colin Hinson.
