Customer email forwarded to area PO to request updates and to make contact with customer. Customer very unhappy.
Hello
I kindly request an update regarding the outcome of the matter.
Additionally, as noted in my previous email, I am partially sighted and would appreciate a telephone call to discuss this further. I respectfully ask that you read my email in full before responding I writing again. To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to formally lodge an urgent complaint regarding the dangerously unsafe condition of the footpaths in my local area, specifically outside 75 Drovers Way, Dunstable. These hazardous conditions have resulted in two serious falls for me within the past two years.
In the first incident last year, I tripped on an uneven and poorly maintained path, resulting in a broken right foot. I am 80 years old and partially sighted, and I depend heavily on safe, well-maintained walkways to preserve my mobility and independence.
On Friday, 18th July, I suffered a second serious fall, once again due to the same unsafe conditions, this time resulting in a broken left foot. These repeated injuries have caused me immense pain, severely reduced my mobility, and significantly diminished my quality of life.
It is completely unacceptable that these hazards remain unaddressed, particularly when they pose a clear and ongoing danger to vulnerable residents such as the elderly and disabled. The lack of action is not only negligent—it is putting lives at risk.
I demand immediate inspection and urgent repair of the footpaths in this area to ensure they are safe for public use. Failure to act promptly could result in further injuries and potentially legal consequences.
Please confirm receipt of this letter and provide a detailed response outlining the steps that will be taken and the timeline for these repairs.
As mentioned, I am partially sighted, so I kindly request that you contact me by phone to discuss this matter further.
