Cars and vans park on both sides of the street outside our windows, at all times of the day and night. It is a narrow road and the cars park partly on the pavement. This makes it impossible for my mother in her wheelchair to leave the building. Anyone with a mobility scooter or pram has no chance of passing. There are double yellow lines which are ignored. We have reported this problem to the council many times over many years and sometimes a traffic warden arrives to give out tickets - but it is very rare. There are parked cars a few metres from mother's bedroom window. Late at night drivers slam doors, make loud telephone calls or play loud music. At 92 years of age it is distressing and unfair to her. It is clear to us that there should be a series of bollards or posts in place to keep vehicles off of the pavement. It is hard to believe the over parking in King Street has not made life difficult for the emergency services vehicles. We beg the Council to do something about it. Thank you.
