A road into Dunstable from Markyate

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 425905.

The road surface is failing- it might not look that bad but it isn’t nice to drive over. It feels like the road is starting to fall apart. Not safe as this road is quite a fast road. Feels like the road surface will deteriorate quite quickly. There was a nasty accident not far from there a few months ago before the road surface started to fail. It is a risk to drivers!!! Please can you sort this

    After inspecting the reported issue, our officers have determined that this doesn't currently qualify as a priority for repair. We will continue to monitor the defect during future inspections and carry out works should it meet our intervention levels in future.

    With over 1,400km of road to maintain across Central Bedfordshire, we have to prioritise the work we do as detailed in our Network Maintenance Management Plan (NMMP), which can be viewed on the following page of our website https://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ info/ 55/ transport_roads_and_parking/ 592/ roads_strategies
