Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 426003.
Since the introduction of the new round-a-bout on Ampthill Road there has been an introduction of 40 MPH. Speed limit travelling from Ampthill towards Bedford, the signs have been placed prior to the j/w Bedford Road which would indicate that the speed limit changes from national to 40 MPH for both Ampthill Road and turning right into Bedford Road. However travelling from Houghton Conquest towards Ampthill Road the last sign passed is a National speed sign on the outskirts of the village, this would mean the limit is 60 MPH travelling towards Ampthill Road and 40MPH in the opposite direction. Conversely when turning right from Bedford Road to Ampthill Road a 40 MPH road but the first indication of such is a small repeater sign some distance from the round-a-bout towards Bedford. Can this be right.
