  • Hi - if a CBC owned tree is suspected to be causing issues with private property (including subsidence, drainage, damage) then this will need to be investigated by your building insurers. Without proof that our asset is causing this damage, we will not undertake any works. Root damage to the footway should be investigated by our Highway inspectors to determine whether repair is an option.

    Many thanks

  • Hi there,

It has already been looked into and confirmed by insurers, and has been looked into also by Anglian Water and confirmed. Where can I send reports to please, would be happy to share! :)

It is also noted that this has been brought up with the council in the past and a previous tree has been removed for the exact same reason.

  • Hi - sorry for the confusion. Any issues relating to subsidence or tree root damage to property have to be submitted to our Insurance teams as there will be documentation/investigation reports to send through. We require extensive investigation from the property insurers to determine the exact cause of the issue. We can't act on speculation so require these investigations to be thorough in order to dictate how we manage our asset in response.
