This decaying man hole cover is splitting and becoming weaker with rust holes .see picture. Very risky for heavy wheelchairs , as it may soon givewaya and tip out its wheelchair user . I reported this over 6 months ago and it was reported as being sorted . This has not happened .its only a matter of time until this lid fails. Surely its a simple job to change its lid.

    After inspecting the reported issue, our officers have determined that this doesn't currently qualify as a priority for repair.

    With over 1,400km of road to maintain across Central Bedfordshire, we have to prioritise the work we do as detailed in our Network Maintenance Management Plan (NMMP), which can be viewed on the following page of our website https://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ info/ 55/ transport_roads_and_parking/ 592/ roads_strategies
