Trees on the fenceline of sewage handling property of Anglian Water

Reported via desktop in the Pavement and Cycle path category anonymously at 17:03, Monday 11 August 2025

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 426267.

The trees are overhanging the footpath, leaving only about 25 cm unobstructed. If the trees were wet, i.e. after rain, using the footpath would certainly shower the users. There are new shoots from this year's growth that will even more obstruct the path.

This was previously reported to the Council under EGR007667

  • Update on your report:

The area has been inspected and is the responsibility of the Utility Company (Water board, BT, gas etc).

To ensure the report is actioned as quickly as possible by the Utility Company, you are able to report these issues directly to them.

CBC Highways can make contact with Anglian Water to request that the hedging is cut back, as it is within their ownership boundary.

    Many thanks,
