Between 1 Norcott Close and the entrance to the close.

Reported via desktop in the Kerbs category anonymously at 05:32, Wed 20 August 2025

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 426546.

Vehicle has been parked for nearly 4 months and has never moved. It was only registered in May 2025 with the DVLA, the owned of the car does not live in the close and the car has been damaged on the drivers door. It is a very expensive sports car and is stopping locals using it to park their cars.

  • Dear Sirs

I and a number of my neighbours at Norcott Close, Dunstable would like to make a complaint about number of cars being parked in our close for lengthy periods and never being moved.

One car, a Lexus sports car (worth at least £40-£50K new) has been parked since May 2025 and has never been moved once. Surely this is not .normal. for a car of this expense to be parked for so long.

We now have another couple of cars which have been parked there for at least 4-6 weeks and again have never moved, One of these cars has a temporary tyre fitted and also a rear flat tyre. Details and photos of the cars below. These cars are currently taxed and MOT.d as I have checked with the DVLA but we, the residents of Norcott Close, are not happy with cars being virtually dumped on our close as we have no idea who owns these cars and would not be able to contact the owners should anything happen to them such as vandalism and car alarms. The owners of these cars do not reside in our close. We have reported the Lexus car to the police on a number of occasions and are very disappointed that there has been no development.

Can you please acknowledge receipt of this complaint and look into this and advise us of what action can be taken.

Car 1: Reg. L1 FDC Lexus Parked since May 2025, valued at £40K+, and has never moved an inch or has anyone been to look at it. Car had had door scratched.

Car 2: Reg. AD10 OOY Hyundai Has been parked for over 6 weeks now and has a temporary tyre on the front and has a flat tyre at the rear which is on the pavement.

Car 3: Reg. GY67 UYO Toyota Has been parked for 4-6 weeks at least and has not moved at all.

    Regards

    Stuart (Stuart Douglas)
