The drain on the highway has been blocked and is unable to take any rainwater away.We are in an area that flooded in 2024 and reported the issue then.We were told in wad not a priority and the drain is completely blocked with grass growing out of it.

    We plan to inspect the site during the next instance of significant rainfall, to allow a full assessment of the issue before any decision is made.

    Even when a gully is clean and well maintained it will only cope with a certain volume of water at one time, a sudden and heavy downpour can still cause flooding especially if the road is in a low-lying area, this generally clears away over a matter of hours.
