Corner of Thrupp End, Shop tick Lane and station road Lidlington

Reported via mobile in the Public Rights of way category anonymously at 12:12, Thu 28 August 2025

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8085592.

Why is this public footpath closed. I walk down Thrupp End often with my daughter’s dog and have to walk on the road which can be dangerous when cars are coming in both directions. Why has this foot paths been closed off at both ends?

Updates

  • Thank you for your query. Part of the path was legally diverted to the field edge following planning permission for houses. There is no connecting path at the moment due to the legal line of the path being through the lake. The applicant for the diversion we believe has since sold the land and we have been trying to identify the new owner to contact them about opening the path section you refer to up. We will carry out a land registry search and write to them.

    State changed to: Closed
