When flown safely and appropriately, they help create and encourage a strong sense of community and togetherness, and are often displayed in support of sporting events, including the current Womens Rugby World Cup.
Where displays on the highway do not compromise safety, we will be leaving them in place. We do ask that residents refrain from attaching flags or painting markings where they may reduce visibility, distract road users, or otherwise create a hazard.
