Footpath outside 71 High Street

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 427143.

Severely overgrown with weeds and is now considered as a trip hazard for anyone elderly or small child. This has been reported previously, but nothing has been undertaken to rectify the issue. I am a Health and safety manager and would like this to be recorded on the councils records as a near miss.

  • Update on your report:

    After inspecting the reported issue, our officers have determined that this doesn't currently qualify as a priority for repair. We will continue to monitor the defect during future inspections and carry out works should it meet our intervention levels in future.

    With over 1,400km of road to maintain across Central Bedfordshire, we have to prioritise the work we do as detailed in our Network Maintenance Management Plan (NMMP), which can be viewed on the following page of our website https://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ info/ 55/ transport_roads_and_parking/ 592/ roads_strategies
