Appley Wood Corner/Chicksands Woods

Reported via mobile in the Obstructing visibility, footway, road, or sign category by Jason Lake at 11:41, Monday 8 September 2025

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 427341.

The main pathway through the woods is now hazardous with over hanging trees, branches and undergrowth. The woods had the side grass verges cut a while ago but they failed to do the overhanging vegetation. This is now touching from both sides in places. This is a very popular area for dog walkers and athletes training.

Chicksands Wood is not under Central Beds Council ownership. The land is under the ownership and management of the Forestry Commission. Any issues in the woodland would need reporting to them as the landowner.
