This street lighting is extremely bright, it lights up our bedroom all night even with the curtains closed. I suffer from medical conditions which make it difficult to sleep anyway but the light is making it worse, plus we have a young baby who we are struggling to make it dark for due to the light. Our neighbours have had their side of the light blocked so if we could have the same that would be great.

  • Thank you for contacting Central Bedforshire council. As discussed we would not be able to install a front facing shield on the light as this would prevent the road from being illuminated. We have now programmed the light to operate at a reduced light output and will monitor the operation. Should there still be an issue please contact us again and we will investigate further.
