ALL drains southside of Castle Hill Road between 173 and the Cross Keys pub
Reported via desktop in the Drains/Ditches Blocked category anonymously at 14:24, Wednesday 24 September 2025
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 428033.
Most recently reported in August (Council ref: 426580) This report now shows 'closed' although no action has been taken other than to refer me to the gulley clearing schedule which does not include this area. On this site it states that all drains and gulleys are cleared every three years, I can assure you this has not been the case in this area.

Update on your report:
As part of our gully cleaning programme we inspect and clear all 45,000 gullies over a three-year period, with vulnerable gullies cleaned annually. You can find out more information about our gully cleaning programme here - https://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ info/ 55/ transport_roads_and_parking/ 588/ report_or_track_roads_and_highways_problems_-_potholes_street_lights/ 5
The issue you raised will be addressed through our scheduled gully cleaning programme of works.
These gullies were last cleaned in September 2023 and will be due to be cleaned again in 2026.
Many thanks,
