Bypass junction
Reported via desktop in the Road markings and lining category anonymously at 09:29, Fri 3 October 2025
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 428369.
This is a dangerous junction under normal conditions. The give way lines from the bypass turning left on the deceleration lane have completely worn away. I have witnessed two near misses in as many days. These markings need sorting NOW as you have an accident waiting to happen and as the Council have been made duly aware of the issue several times thy will be duplicate in any accident.

Update on your report:
After inspecting the reported issue, our officers have determined that this doesn't currently qualify as a priority for repair. We will continue to monitor the defect during future inspections and carry out works should it meet our intervention levels in future.
With over 1,400km of road to maintain across Central Bedfordshire, we have to prioritise the work we do as detailed in our Network Maintenance Management Plan (NMMP), which can be viewed on the following page of our website https://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ info/ 55/ transport_roads_and_parking/ 592/ roads_strategies
Many thanks,
