  • Customer called for an update when the streetlight will be fixed.

  • Customer has called again regarding this light not being fixed saying that it is not safe and no update has been provided about what is the reason why this hasn’t been fixed by now. Customer said that this has been an issue for a long time and it’s not acceptable to give a time frame and then not to carry out the work nor to provide an update.

  • Thank you for contacting Central Bedfordshire Council. Our Street lighting maintenance contractor visited the column on the 25/11/2025 and have confirmed that there is power to the column however they are currently unable to access the Lantern to investigate further due to an overgrown tree in the Church Graveyard. This is blocking safe access for our team to inspect and replace the lantern. We have been in contact with the Parish Council who are responsible for the tree, who are going to arrange for this to be cut back. Once this has been completed our team will re attend and make necessary repairs to the lamp column to bring it into service.
