Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8265543.

The bridle way is very overgrown with a fallen tree. I just about managed to get underneath it but the branches and brambles cut my face and jodphurs. It is a well used path for horses riders, Cyclists and walkers but is impassable at this time.

Updates

  • Hi there. Thank you for your report. It would be useful to have a photo if you could provide one. Landowners would usually be responsible for trees/fallen trees rather than the Council as we are only responsible for surface vegetation. In terms of the latter, Route 51 is on our public rights of way annual grass cutting contract and should have been cut back the week commencing the 29th of September but we will check

    State changed to: Investigating

  • The contractor advises the grass has been cut but the hedges are still outstanding.

  • The Rights of way grass cutting contract should now all be complete. Can you advise if this issue is now resolved or if not, i will do a site visit next week
