Investigating
Outside iron house
Reported via iOS in the Fly Tipping category anonymously at 10:11, Mon 13 October 2025
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: Jadu-EFF019944.
Untaxed and uninsured vehicles on public road. All reported as abandoned vehicles but nothing is being done. They should not be on the road and it is dissatisfying that the local authority does not enforce its power to resolve this problem. Was promised several weeks ago that the head of the environment department would be in touch, not surprised that this has also not happened

I have been emailed to say no restrictions to parking untaxed and therefore not insured vehicles on the highway. However This is responsibility of central beds council under the Clean Neighbourhood and Environment Act 2005 as all are commercial overspill from local business meaning there should be no more than one vehicle related to the business within 1/2 a mile in either direction. As there are numerous vehicles it means the restrictions are being ignored by the local council and the business
