Bollards are rotten/ missing allowing cars to drive up the footpath which has nearly resulted in collisions with pedestrians.

  • Thank you for your report. We will investigate who put these bollards in and who is responsible. Unfortunately our public right of way budget is very limited but we will see what we can do if it is CBC public rights of way who put them in. Some vehicles may be those exercising private vehicular rights of access as these are seperate to public rights. Any unauthorised vehicle using a public bridleway without permission should be reported to the police via 101 and giving the licence plate as such vehicles would be committing a Road Traffic offence of driving off-road.

  • They are not coming up on our system as ours so they are likely to be the landowner's which i believe may be Luton Borough Council. We will contact them

  • Our road highways team have now confirmed that these bollards lie within the extent of the CBC section of the A6 and so we will raise an order to replace the broken ones.
