Corner of Hurst Grove

Reported via mobile in the Pavement and Cycle path category anonymously at 11:41, Monday 13 October 2025

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 428762.

The hedge is over growing onto the path, this makes it hard for a buggy with 2 children either side to safely get past while on the school run. The local councillor has tried to sort it and the owner has said that they won't cut it back any further as it will kill the hedge, but the problem is getting so bad that with the children walking so close to the road and cars coming around the corner to drop off on the school run, it does need to be cut back more, before a child gets killed.

  • We have issued a letter to the landowner requesting that this hedge is cut back further as it is encroaching the footpath and narrowing it. We give 14 days for the work from receipt of letter.

    Many thanks
