5 greenway campton

Reported via mobile in the Obstructing visibility, footway, road, or sign category anonymously at 11:28, Monday 27 October 2025

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 429304.

These ferns are encroaching the public foot path which is making it impossible to pass with a pushchair and child or even a wheelchair as the branches are sticking out . They have been full of wasps which means we are walking in the busy road to avoid getting stung by wasps . This is a yearly occurrence as they are only ever “tidied up” never cut back . They are 2 foot over their boundary. The parish council say it’s cbc responsibility as it’s a public footpath obstruction and cbc say it’s a parish council problem as said ferns are on a private property.

  • We will issue a letter to the property to request that the hedge is cut back as it is obstructing.

    Many thanks
