Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 429307.

My name is Catherine Batty. On Friday 24th October 2025 at approximately 3.15 pm I had a bad fall on the public footpath in front of 15 Manor Road Barton. It was caused by a raised manhole very proud of the surface of the footpath. I had severe bruising to my face and arms and knees caused by tripping over the raised manhole. This problem is evident at a number of other places in this area of the footpath which is very uneven. Someone may be seriously by this defect and lack of the highway authority upholding its statutory duty to ensure that the footpath as part of the highway is safe for users. Please arrange to reply as a matter of urgency. I am copying this to our local councillor Liz Childs and Councillor John Baker
