74 to 90 Vaughn Road Stotfold

Reported via iOS in the Pavement Potholes category by Chris Thorne at 15:07, Tuesday 4 November 2025

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 429630.

Surface is eroding and loose material under is being disturbed deepening the problem. Witnessed a pregnant lady stumble here and thought I needed to report it so it wasn’t on my conscience if someone else does the same or worse. Weeds being allowed to grow are also a hazard as well as speeding the degregation process which has been happening for some years, but I feel is now unacceptable.

  • Update on your report:

After inspecting the reported issue, our officers have determined that this doesn't currently qualify as a priority for repair. We will continue to monitor the defect during future inspections and carry out works should it meet our intervention levels in future.

With over 1,400km of road to maintain across Central Bedfordshire, we have to prioritise the work we do as detailed in our Network Maintenance Management Plan (NMMP), which can be viewed on the following page of our website https://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ info/ 55/ transport_roads_and_parking/ 592/ roads_strategies

    Many thanks,
