///entry.panel.operation ? The bridleway gate

Reported via mobile in the Public Rights of way category anonymously at 19:55, Tuesday 4 November 2025

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8377097.

The bridleway gate understandably is locked but means that buggies, wheelchair users, young children, anyone with mobility problems are having to walk through the mud to get around the gate. Could this part of the path be paved over please so wheels etc don’t have to go through dirt. This is the only pathway that connects the estate directly to the town.

Bearing in mind that the Ivey Valley SEN school entrance is on the other side of the gate to the Kings Reach estate, families using the school for children with accessibility needs are also unable to navigate this gate easily.

This has been the case since the development of the Kings Reach estate as according to Google street view there was not a gate here prior to the estate built int 2014.
