A6 between Haynes turnings and Chapel End Road both ways

Reported via desktop in the Road Potholes category anonymously at 09:34, Mon 15 December 2025

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 431898.

Numerous potholes along the A6 both ways between the Haynes junctions and Chapel End Road which have been steadily getting worse over several months, particularly on Wilstead Hill. They are becoming dangerous as they stretch across the road and can't be avoided. Could potentially be an accident if someones tyre blows causing them to swerve into oncoming traffic. I hit a pothole in the dark and wet resulting in damage to my tyre which had to be replaced. In addition, the road has been subsiding on Wilstead Hill (Bedford bound) for many months, possibly over a year, Fixing the potholes needs URGENT action!
