Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 432227.
I am one of the engineers from Anglian Water. Water has been gushing out of fresh scarring for newly installed Fibre optic cables on Bideford Green estate. We have confirmed this is a surface water issue as it has now dried up but it has left the road sunken and is beginning to break up. Suspect this will now happen every time we have heavy rain as water is filling up the ducting for their new cables. Ideally whoever owns these cables will need to inspect their ducts but also the road will need to be repaired before it gets dangerous

Update on your report:
After inspecting the reported issue, our officers have determined that this doesn't currently qualify as a priority for repair. We will continue to monitor the defect during future inspections and carry out works should it meet our intervention levels in future.
With over 1,400km of road to maintain across Central Bedfordshire, we have to prioritise the work we do as detailed in our Network Maintenance Management Plan (NMMP), which can be viewed on the following page of our website https://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ info/ 55/ transport_roads_and_parking/ 592/ roads_strategies
Many thanks,
