362 Bideford Green

Reported via desktop in the Surface water on Highway category anonymously at 11:26, Friday 9 January 2026

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 432881.

Re: Council ref: 429159 Now closed.

We requested help from the Council as to what we should do with reference to all the surface water that comes down the hilll in Bideford Green leading to flooding outside 362 Bideford Green. The answer we had says "may be a capacity issue in larger down pours. " We totally agree but were hoping the council could help in giving us options of what we can do to prevent the house getting flooded via the front door and air vents. I would appreciate someone contacting me - so if you could provide a way in which I can contact you by phone it would be very helpful. We could then provide photos. Thank you

Original Report from October 2024 We had torrential rainfall a couple of weeks ago. The water runs down the road and gathers by the front door with potential to flood the property. Now that so many grass areas have been covered there are few places for the water to go so we need to know what can be done so that all the water coming down the road can be dispersed .
