Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 10135.

An extremely large and deep pot hole has appeared in the road surface. It looks to be easily 60cm x 60cm and looks to be a couple of inches deep

  • Holes are getting larger and deeper and surprised there’s not been a major accident because of the hole or because people are swerving to avoid the hole. They are also close to a central island that causes further risk. Cyclists and motorcyclists are particularly at risk of injury. Originally reported in January but still being investigated despite smaller road surface issues on the same road having been repaired.

We will continue to monitor the defect during future inspections and carry out works should it meet our intervention levels.
