Opposite no 1 queens close

Reported via iOS in the Hazardous or dead tree category by Frank firth at 18:14, Friday 9 January 2026

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 432922.

Concern over the height and angle of the silver birch tree on the verge in sand lane and opposite to number one queens close. Concern that the tree could topple during strong winds. Believe that the height of the tree needs to drastically reduced

Updates

  • We do not prune trees for these reasons, height is not an inherently hazardous feature in a tree. At its last routine inspection, no feature was found in relation to the angle of form that reached intervention levels.

    Many thanks,
