A parallel crossing was recently installed in Windsor Drive near the junction with Longbrooke. At the same time new markings were painted on the whole length of the pavement alongside the field in Windsor Drive. This has been divided into 2 lanes, one for pedestrians and 1 for cyclists. However the pedestrian lane is so narrow you cannot walk 2 abreast, whereas the cycle lane is almost double the width. Anyway walking along there with a young child cannot hold the child's hand unless 1 of them walks in the cycle lane. Also surely the cycle lane should be closest to the field and not the pedestrian lane as people won't think to look for cyclists before approaching the kerb to cross the road. Surely all the more important in this age of nuisance e-bikes and e-scooters who travel at high speeds.

Update on your report: After inspecting the reported issue, our officers have determined that this doesn't currently qualify for repairs. We will continue to monitor the defect during future inspections and carry out works should it meet our intervention levels.
