Road to Sandy Smith Nature Reserve off Shefford Road Beadlow
Reported via desktop in the Road Surface category anonymously at 13:25, Tuesday 20 January 2026
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 433867.
The potholes previously reported here have been filled in but there is a lot of loose gravel/stones in the middle of the road. It’s probably come from the potholes. I use this route to/from work and it’s safest on my bike to go down the middle of the road because of the old potholes.
Is it possible to send the road sweeper lorry to clean this road of all the debris please? Thank you.

Update on your report:
After inspecting the reported issue, our officers have determined that this doesn't currently qualify as a priority for repair.
With over 1,400km of road to maintain across Central Bedfordshire, we have to prioritise the work we do as detailed in our Network Maintenance Management Plan (NMMP), which can be viewed on the following page of our website https://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ info/ 55/ transport_roads_and_parking/ 592/ roads_strategies
Many thanks,
