All the road past The Greyhound
Reported via mobile in the Road Surface category anonymously at 22:20, Saturday 7 February 2026
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 435860.
Northwood end road past The Greyhound needs action the tarmac has been eroded by the constant traffic having to go up the verge to get past buses and construction vehicles. The road is flooded in 3 parts and holes are hard to navigate when 2 vehicles meet as the road is now very narrow. My daughter had to go up the verge to avoid a bus and damaged her tyre and I have had my wing mirror damaged by a large construction vehicle. The council have built over 20 new houses in Northwood End Road thus increase in traffic with further add to the already eroding road. I will be reporting this to our councillor who is standing in for Rebecca Hares also.

Update on your report:
After inspecting the reported issue, our officers have determined that this doesn't currently qualify as a priority for repair. We will continue to monitor the defect during future inspections and carry out works should it meet our intervention levels in future.
With over 1,400km of road to maintain across Central Bedfordshire, we have to prioritise the work we do as detailed in our Network Maintenance Management Plan (NMMP), which can be viewed on the following page of our website https://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ info/ 55/ transport_roads_and_parking/ 592/ roads_strategies
