As pin pointed on map - Bedford road junction Marston moretaine
Reported via mobile in the Obstructing visibility, footway, road, or sign category anonymously at 18:55, Friday 13 February 2026
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 436587.
The overgrown trees and bushes along the verge to the left of the junction from Marston Moretaine onto Bedford Road are extremely dangerous and are obstructing visibility when pulling out. The vegetation has clearly not been maintained for a long time, and it is now impossible to properly see oncoming traffic — particularly during the day when headlights are not visible. This is a very busy, fast-moving road, regularly used by HGVs travelling to and from the Stewartby Covanta site, which makes the situation even more hazardous. The restricted view could easily result in a serious accident and poses a genuine threat to life. The trees and bushes urgently need to be cut back and properly maintained to ensure the safety of road users.
