A5120 junction with Westoning road, Harlington.

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 436603.

Road surface has completely failed making exiting Westoning road in the dark a safety nightmare. Loose gravel causing wheel spin and deep potholes scattering the hole area. When resurfacing this road could we possibly have a Grippy tarmac section often referred to as High Friction Surfacing (HFS) or specialized asphalt products like ULTIGRIP and SuperCurve, which are engineered to enhance road safety by providing superior skid resistance in high-risk areas. These surfaces are specifically designed to reduce braking distances and prevent accidents at junctions, roundabouts, slip roads, and steep gradients. A reduced speed limit around this junction on the A5120 (40mph?) would also increase safety exiting Westoning road. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Kind regards Stephen Downs

  • We have a programme in place for the potholes to be permanently repaired this month so
