Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 438217.
This pothole has been evident since the end of January 2026 when it was reported and given a ref. no 434627. According to a post on this web site, it was deemed that "After inspecting the reported issue, our officers have determined that this doesn't currently qualify as a priority for repair. We will continue to monitor the defect during future inspections and carry out works should it meet our intervention levels in future." Personally, I think we are beyond that stage now as the attached photos demonstrate. At the point of the pothole, the road is only 3.26m wide and hole is 0.72m wide - basically some 22-25% the avaible width of the driveable tarmac! Please review your last assessment and have this matter dealt with ASAP. Thank you!

Update on your report:
After inspecting the reported issue, our officers have determined that this doesn't currently qualify as a priority for repair. We will continue to monitor the defect during our routine safety inspections and or weekly inspections carried out by our other officers, we will carry out works should it meet our intervention levels in future.
With over 1,400km of road to maintain across Central Bedfordshire, we have to prioritise the work we do as detailed in our Network Maintenance Management Plan (NMMP), which can be viewed on the following page of our website https://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ info/ 55/ transport_roads_and_parking/ 592/ roads_strategies
Many thanks,
