Driving from the A507 towards Silsoe on Ampthill Road, before reaching the entrance to Beaumont Farm. It is on the bend as you come down the hill.

I was driving at night and there is no lighting on the road. It was raining and the road was covered in water. For these reasons I could not see any potholes at all. However, whilst staying on my side of the road as I was driving down the hill, I felt a sudden drop in the road which therefore led to my tyre going flat and later finding that it had caused further damage to the wheel and parts around the wheel. The incident occurred as I was driving to Silsoe from the direction of A507, along Ampthill Road. There is a series of potholes along this stretch however I have identified the one that caused the issue to my car.
