Case 438084 East Road Sandy A reply was sent from Central Bedfordshire Council However the reply is incorrect, they say they will contact the landowner to cut back the hedge, that is wrong If the footpath had been correcty accessed by the Council the hedge which includes tall trees, brambles, fly tip rubbish, concrete road bollards ect A property boundary fence shows the hedge, trees, fly tipping clearly on Council side of the fence The hedge trees are not inside the property fence but outside of fence which is the responsibility of Council to clear the footpath There was no reply to the footpath being blocked by years of overgrown vegetations It not a walkable footpath all due to Council neglect of maintaining footpaths To recap the Council needs to send out a assessment officer who no's what they are looking not look at pictures online and stop trying to put the blame on property owners,if you look a picture's 1 and 2 you can clearly see the property fence As to the footpath needs to cleared and restored to a safe footpath not a dangerous as it is now I wait for the Council to reply

CBC only own up to the surfaced footpath edge. Any grass/verge on the property side of this will be owned by the property, regardless of where the fence has been placed. The vegetation is boundary vegetation for the property that has been allowed to grow further into the footpath/verge, giving the impression that it is council owned as it's now on the 'council side'. The property are responsible for this vegetation - we will ensure it is cut back.
Many thanks
