Roundabout at the junction of the High street and Bedford road
Reported via mobile in the Pavement and Cycle path category anonymously at 13:32, Friday 13 March 2026
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 11087.
The dropped kerb for crossing the high street has no road works sign to indicate traffic is now coming from the left. A non driver would be unaware of the need to look left as road markings indicate traffic from the right. I absent mindedly crossed only to realise traffic was using the incorrect side of the road due to roadworks.

Update on your report:
After inspecting the reported issue, our officers have determined that this doesn't currently qualify as a priority for repair.
With over 1,400km of road to maintain across Central Bedfordshire, we have to prioritise the work we do as detailed in our Network Maintenance Management Plan (NMMP), which can be viewed on the following page of our website https://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ info/ 55/ transport_roads_and_parking/ 592/ roads_strategies
Many thanks,
