Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 11258.
While travelling along this road, my vehicle struck the pothole, resulting in a burst tyre and damage to the body kit of my car. This has left me significantly out of pocket due to repair and replacement costs, as well as causing substantial disruption to my day-to-day life while arranging repairs and dealing with the consequences of being without reliable transport.
The pothole has been present for a considerable amount of time and, due to its size and position in the road, it is extremely difficult to avoid safely. When vehicles are approaching from the opposite direction, there is little opportunity to manoeuvre around it without creating additional danger.
I am particularly concerned that this defect has remained unresolved for such a long period, as it presents an ongoing risk to other road users and could continue to cause similar incidents.
I would appreciate this matter being investigated urgently and the road repaired as soon as possible. I also request information regarding the process for claiming compensation for the damage caused to my vehicle.
