Pavement outside 5 and 6 Pevensey Grove
Reported via desktop in the Pavement and Cycle path category by Ann Blair at 10:50, Tuesday 7 April 2026
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 11885.
The pavement has been worsening over the years. It has been reported twice in previous years but never deemed bad enough for repair. Now it consists of just lose gravel with a dip to our drive. It is so bad that a 96 year old lady being taken for a walk with her walking frame by a carer has to walk in the road. I would add that pavements outside other neighbours' houses are equally bad. We would really appreciate some action.

Update on your report:
After inspecting the reported issue, our officers have determined that this doesn't currently qualify as a priority for repair. We will continue to monitor the defect during future inspections and carry out works should it meet our intervention levels in future.
With over 1,400km of road to maintain across Central Bedfordshire, we have to prioritise the work we do as detailed in our Network Maintenance Management Plan (NMMP), which can be viewed on the following page of our website https://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ info/ 55/ transport_roads_and_parking/ 592/ roads_strategies
Many thanks,
